A FLOURISHING Runcorn company has doubled its staff in the past 18 months, as it continues to grow and expand.

Daresbury IT services consultancy adept4, which specialises in tailoring software, has announced internal promotions and recruited new staff.

David Rawlinson, who has more than 25 years’ industry experience, has been promoted to director of client services. The new role will see him join the company’s senior team to head up adept4’s operations and software teams across its sites in Daresbury and Aberdeen. His new position will involve monitoring delivery, profitability, and client services.

Peter Birkett, adept4 CEO, said: “We’re delighted to be promoting David to this vital role in the business. He’s a highly capable member of the team and an experienced pair of hands and we’re looking forward to seeing him grow and develop this area of the company.

“Excellent customer service delivery is a critical part of the work we do. We’re absolutely committed to delivering an outstanding experience while continuing on our journey of growth and expansion, so having the right team in place is imperative.”

The firm has also appointed Dave Brown to the position of software services manager. Dave, who will report directly to David Rawlinson, joins from a role as company director of D&JB Consultancy, where he led major software development programmes for a number of blue-chip clients including Amey plc.

A new marketing coordinator has also been appointed to raise the company’s brand profile and oversee its central marketing function.

Ashley Rudd, who joins from Marks & Spencer, will help to drive business growth and ensure consistent messaging both on and offline. The company has also added two new members to its operations team.

Mr Birkett added: “In a business landscape where there is a looming skills gap, we have been fortunate enough to have made a number of great hires in recent weeks. Our new starters will no doubt have an invigorating and positive effect on their elements of the business,” Peter added.

The company has enjoyed a strong first half to 2014, with a number of new contracts putting the business on track to achieve its goal of year on year growth of 30 per cent for the last four years. The business which has seen its team more than double in the last 18 months also became an accredited living wage employer earlier this year.
