POLICE are appealing for help to find a Runcorn man who is missing from home.

Michael Johnson, aged 57, was last seen by his family at his home yesterday, Tuesday, September 30.

Both his relatives and police say they are ‘extremely concerned’ about his wellbeing due to a history of health and welfare problems.

Chief Inspector Kevin Bennett who is leading the investigation into Michael′s disappearance, said: "We are very concerned about Michael and would urge anyone who knows him, or indeed anyone who may have seen anyone fitting his description, to contact us urgently.

“Furthermore I make a personal appeal to Michael himself to contact us urgently, or go to your nearest police station and let us know you are safe. Both your family and police are very worried about you."

He is described as white, 5ft 10in, of stocky build with balding grey hair and has a beard. He has blue eyes and occasionally wears glasses.

Michael is known to walk around the rural parts of Runcorn and Frodsham,and Delamere Forest.

Anyone who knows Michael, or who may recognise him and have seen him within the last day, are urged to contact Cheshire Police as a priority on 101 quoting incident 50 of October 1.
