Ste and Haighy!!

Firtsly Il start with Ste!! One of the most inspirational coaches to work with!! He is always cool, calm and collected and knows just what to say to get the best out of his players. As a character he is very approachable and understanding yet at the same time is driven by the need for success! His interpersonal man to man skills are superb, he can point out where a player goes wrong with constructive criticsm and then works with a player to improve the problem. His techincal knowledge is excellent and he is always looking to improve his players both on an individual and team basis! He is always willing to put himself out for a player, to stay behind after training to help with indivdual weaknesses or in my case, ring me from his sun lounger in Spain to see how i was doin (I was just extremely rude and didnt answer it to him -Im sorry Ste it will never happen again!! Iv learnt my lesson). But its not only players he is always more than willing to get involved in the community, meeting and greeting the fans for the promotion of the club!!

I have learnt so much over the past 12 months working for Ste!! He is legend and every player coached by him should feel themselves very privedged!

From one legend to another Andy Haigh. One of my hero's when i was younger watching Saints. A big, fast utility backline player who has won many a title with St. Helens until he sadly had to retire through injury. But as they say one door closes and another opens and it certainly did for Andy. Moving into strength and conditioning where, like Ste, he can pass on his experiences and advice to the players he too has been inspirational. I have never been fitter, stronger or faster as i was whilst following Haighy's programmes. He not only has an in depth scientific knowledge of the human boody and how to get the best results from it but he can apply it superbly to the improvement of performance in Rugby League.He not only looks after the first team squad but spends alot of his time working with the younger squads too, giving them practices and techniques that they will benefit from not only during their playing careers but the rest of their lives.

The other side of his job is liasing with companies to provide other facilites for his players, ie supplements, training equipment and facilities. This too he is excellent at and builds up great rapore with all the companies he works with.

All joking aside though, I dont think anyone could pay these men enough money for the amount of time and effort they put into their work!!! They really are model professionals and on a personal note I am very grateful to them. Iv been through a very tough year this year and these two guys have been awesome!! Always there if I need them for advice or help with anything. I really do owe them alot and am very grateful to them!! (And yeah Ste your present is on its way! haha!!) Right think iv gone on long enough Stay Tuned
