STILT walkers and jugglers created a carnival atmosphere in Runcorn on Saturday.
Hundreds of visitors enjoyed a feast of family entertainment as The Brindley hosted a summer open day.
Children were able to learn all sorts of circus skills outside on the canalside terrace.
People of all ages joined drama and art workshops.
Peter Bentham, marketing officer of The Brindley, said: “There was lots to do for all the family.
“Favourites with the children were the stilt walker, balloon modeller an face painter.
“Live music was provided by local band The Chimps.
“All the attractions were totally free.”
There was also a chance to meet some of the cast from this year’s festive panto, Aladdin.
A free family ticket to the panto was the star raffle prize.
The new autumn winter brochure is now available at The Brindley or online at thebrindley.org.uk
