OLD trainers, boots and wellies could be turned into cash to help cancer sufferers.
Halton Haven Hospice is launching a shoe appeal.
A trial last year was hailed a success after raising £1,000.
Eleanor Smith, community fundraiser for the hospice, said: “This appeal is a great way for us to work with the community, particularly schools.
“It will also encourage more families to recycle.”
Pupils donated their old school shoes last year after children designed their own posters on noticeboards.
The hospice is appealing to businesses, shops, offices, factories and churches to support their appeal.
