A MAN trapped underneath a bus in Widnes was rescued by firefighters.
Police have confirmed he escaped unharmed.
The incident happened in Waterloo Road at 7.20pm last night.
A major rescue unit helped firefighters from Widnes and Runcorn to free the casualty.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews used special equipment to free the casualty who was then passed to the care of the ambulance service.”
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that the man, in his 30s, was taken to Aintree University Hospital.
