Firefighters decontaminated youths after rescuing them from the roof of the asbesos-ridden former Deparment of Employment building
THREE youths have been brought down from the roof of a derelict building in Runcorn.
The young people were spotted on the roof of the former Department of Employment offices shortly before 10am this morning.
Firefighters had to decontaminate the youths as the building is contaminated with dangerous asbestos.
Paramedics remain on standby.
Searches are being conducted by crews to make sure no one else is inside the property.
East Lane is currently closed between Holt Lane leading to Halton Village and Southway while emergency crews deal with the incident.
