THERE’S nothing like a party to get to know your new neighbours.
Residents who recently moved into Lancaster Place in Widnes turned out in style to transform their street into a sea of red, white and blue to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
More than 70 people braved showers to join the nation in toasting her majesty.
Redrow provided lunch boxes for all the children along with a bouncy castle, balloon modelling and face painters.
A cake making competition was won by Isabella Newton.
Jason Newton, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “We had a fantastic afternoon and it was the perfect occasion for everyone to get to know each other better as neighbours.
“This really is a lovely place to live and there was a wonderful family and community spirit to the event.
“It was great to feel part of such a special weekend, one we will all remember.”
More than 100 houses have been completed at Lancaster Place on Lunts Heath Road.
