A TEENAGE boy was flown to hospital in an air ambulance after he was injured in an accident in Runcorn.
Paramedics were called to Brookvale at 5.35pm last night after reports that a teenager had fallen off the roof of a house in Kilncroft.
An air ambulance landed at Brookvale Primary School at 6.35pm and then had to move to a nearby field because the gates around the building were locked.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance said: “A 16-year-old boy had fallen off a ladder.”
Witness Jamie Mazier, 25, from Brookvale, said: “A 16-year-old boy was working on the roof of his own house.
“He fell off and has a possible broken back.
“They put him on a board with a neck brace.
“Two people who knew him helped two paramedics from an ambulance and two paramedics from the air ambulance carry him to the helicopter.”
The teenager was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital.
