A POLICE chase ended with two arrests after the driver ploughed into a number of parked cars in Widnes.
Two men were spotted fleeing from the vehicle shortly after the crash at 2.15am but the suspects were detained a short time later.
Officers at Cheshire Constabulary were called shortly before 2am following reports from Merseyside Police of a pursuit heading towards the county.
It was reported the driver of the vehicle failed to stop when requested to do so by officers in Merseyside Police.
The vehicle was first located on the M57 before entering Warrington from the M62 in Burtonwood and heading in the direction of Widnes.
The vehicle made its way to the Upton Rocks area in Widnes where it crashed into parked cars.
Police officers then chased two men on foot before two 24 year olds from Widnes were arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, theft of a vehicle and money laundering.
Both men were taken into custody to be questioned.
A large amount of cash was also seized from the car.
