ENGLISH rockers Reef will support music icon, Bryan Adams, in Widnes this summer.
The band – whose latest album Shoot Me Your Ace entered the UK Top 20 this week – will take to the DCBL Stadium on July 2.
Since forming in 1993, Reef have released seven studio albums all of which have gone Top 40 in the UK, with the band’s first album Replenish achieving Gold status which, in turn, led to tours with the likes of Paul Weller, Soundgarden and the Rolling Stones.
Given the positivity in their latest album, Gary Stringer describes it as ‘the sound the world needs right now.’
Recently, they opened as special guests to Coldplay at Wembley Stadium after being personally invited by singer Chris Martin, who cites Reef as helping give him huge motivation that he could make it too, being a fellow West Country boy.

“It’s really exciting for me to go out and to play and to look into people’s eyes who are ready to rock already," said Gary.
"You get on stage and throw that energy down and it comes right back. That’s how you get an exciting gig.”
