AN under 16s football team from Widnes is sporting a new kit thanks to sponsorship from a homebuilder.
Halton Farnworth Hornets JFC received sponsorship for their new kit from Redrow Homes.
This will take them through the season playing in the Merseyside Youth Football League.
“This is the second time that we have received sponsorship for a new match and training kit from Redrow,” said team manager Marc Jones.
“Without this generous donation, we would require parents to contribute towards kits.
“The support any grassroots football team receives cannot be underestimated as it makes a huge difference to each and every child that takes part.”
Jason Newton, managing director at Redrow North West, added: “We are pleased to have supported Halton Farnworth Hornets JFC for a number of years now.
“We wish them every success for the new season.”
