A BODY was found near to Widnes Market sparking the presence of emergency services.
The body was located early this morning, Monday, with traders experiencing a delay before opening.
Cheshire Police has since confirmed that the emergency service presence, which was reported by residents, was following the discovery of a body.
Police cars were spotted at the site on Bradley Way, which was cordoned off, as well as paramedics.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 6.34am on Monday, February 12, police were notified that the body of man had been found in the location of Widnes Market on Bradley Way.
“The death is not believed to be suspicious, and a case file will be prepared for the coroner.”
