POLICE, fire crews, paramedics, and an air ambulance were called to the scene of a crash this afternoon, Tuesday.
The incident happened on Windmill Hill Avenue North at around 3pm.
The crash involved two vehicles and according to Cheshire Fire and Rescue, there were two casualties.
Police closed the road as a result of the crash and it remains shut as of 5.30pm.
Fire crews assisted the ambulance service to support with casualty care and an air ambulance was also called to the scene.
One casualty was taken to hospital by road ambulance for precautionary checks.
A passer-by has said there were more than 10 police cars at the scene.
