AN acclaimed floral artist wowed a packed audience with her stunning designs.

Debbie Davies used an array of tropical flowers, exotic foliage and special effects to interpret a variety of musicals and memories.

The former professional dancer was on stage at Widnes Floral Art’s monthly demonstration.

The club was hosting a free taster evening to encourage people who had never seen a live flower arranging demonstration to come along.

Debbie created a selection of colourful designs as she interpreted her theme, ‘A Musical Interlude’.

The passionate dancer has performed all over the world in theatre, TV, the circus and onboard cruise ships.

After coming home 10 years ago, she discovered a love for floral art.

On stage, she shared ideas about how to create unusual containers and suggested the best ways to grow your own flowers and foliage.

With flair and imagination, she designed a stylish hat out of flowers and accessories.

She even incorporated her own ballet shoes into an imaginative display.

The audience was left spellbound as she oozed style and inspiration.

One woman said: “I’ve never seen anything like this before, it was amazing.”

Another woman added: “I really enjoyed it and would definitely come again.”

All of the designs were given away as raffle prizes at the end of the evening.
