FOLLOWING their close call against Bolton, Widnes make the long trip to Penrith for their latest North One West league fixture.
Penrith were relegated from the National Leagues last season, and - like others before them – harbour ambitions to get back up there at the earliest opportunity. Their form, though, has not been that great, and they currently lie in sixth place with three defeats from seven to their name, the last one being a narrow 27 – 25 away at Broughton Park last weekend.
Widnes, despite their own erratic form – they have the ability to excite and infuriate in equal measure - have moved up into second place in the table and anxious to continue that run at the expense of their Cumbrian counterparts.
The game at Winters Park kicks off at 3.00pm.
