ON Saturday evening, Wild travelled to Coventry to face the Blaze minus a number of key players and Head Coach, Mark Gillingham. Peter Bleakley was behind the bench. The game turned out to be a niggling encounter with the Wild taking another victory over their Midlands opponents and a hard working feisty team effort ensuring victory.

Wild cancelled out a tenth minute Blaze opener from Gareth O'Flaherty when Joe Greaves replied inside a minute.

Young Josh Benstead in the Wild goal made a number of vital saves.

The second period saw Wild pull away with goals from Lee Pollitt, Joe Greaves and George Crawshaw giving them a 4- 1 lead at the end of the second period.

Coventry took a physical approach to upset the visitors and Joe Greaves stepped up, exchanging blows with his Coventry opponent.

The visitors took the final period 2-0 with further goals from Filip Supa and Matt Wainwright.
