ST HELENS will host the Karalius Cup match against Widnes Vikings at Langtree Park on Sunday January 24 (3pm kick-off).

It will be the Vikings' last pre-season outing before the start of the First Utility Super League season against Wakefield Wildcats on Sunday February 7.

As with the other three pre-season games, the club has been able to provide a discount for 2016 Viking Stronghold Members.

The Vikings will be looking to retain the Karalius Cup for the first time, having won 20-16 at Langtree Park in last season's fixture, when Declan Hulme scored a brace of tries to secure the trophy.

The two sides met at the first ever game at Langtree Park back in 2012, when Saints won the Karalius Cup with a 42-24 victory, despite a hat-trick from Paddy Flynn, who claimed the honour of being the first player to score a try at the new stadium.

Denis Betts' men will be out to snap a run of three consecutive losses against the 2014 First Utility Super League champions, though all three meetings between the two in 2015 proved to be competitive, including the televised Ladbrokes Challenge Cup quarter-final back in June.

Vikings fans have been allocated the East Stand for the fixture.
