ANOTHER weekend passes and I find myself hitting the steering wheel in frustration and having yet another moan about the Widnes gyratory.
Travelling from Cuerdley into Widnes on a Saturday is always an interesting experience once you hit the traffic lights next to the Toby Carvery.
Please can someone explain the theory behind having to curve (and queue) round the gyratory to get to the other side of the road?
The lights system means only a few cars are allowed through at any one time, which inevitably results in impatient motorists honking horns as the adjacent traffic is blocked.
I just hope the planners who have designed the road network surrounding the new Mersey Crossing have come up with a more sensible arrangement than this bizarre one.
